AZN, or Azerbaijani Manat, is the national currency of Azerbaijan. It was introduced in 1992 after the country gained independence from the Soviet Union. The AZN is used as legal tender for all transactions within Azerbaijan and is divided into 100 qəpik. It is not accepted as legal currency outside of Azerbaijan.
